Notes & Quotes

The story of life repeatedly assures you:
If you will use what you have, you will be given more to use. Life also tells you if you don’t use it, you’ll loose it.

“those who make a list of external changes that must be met before they take internal acion will always end up getting cooked in the squat.

.

Thieves who steal from themselves:

A person who doesn’t believes in himself and fully utilize ability is literally stealing from himself, from his loved ones, and the process because of reduced productivity, he also steals from society.

You cannot consistently perform in a manner that is inconsistent with the way you see yourself.

An individuals self-concept is the core of his personality.

Step 1: Self image

Causes of poor self-image

  1. Negative individuals & society (stress negative and seldom mention the positives)
  2. Ability, appearance and intelligence has been ridiculed repeatedly by teachers/ parents/ friends. authorities. (combine with some phrases of physical appearance (obesity, bad teeth, poor complexion, weak smile, bad eye sight, too short, low IQ, now you have all the ingredients for poor self-image. since I am ugly, dumb, inept, I don’t deserve love from others.)
  3. Tendency to confuse failure in a project with failure in life.
  4. An untrained memory- the person who cant remember is far more better than the one who cannot forget. Know what to remember and what to forget!
  5. Unrealistic & unfair comparison of experiences. We exaggerate others success and downgrade our wins. (ironically many of the people we admire for their skills and accomplishments also admire us for the same thing.) Instead of feeling inferior because someone Else can do something you cannot, why not concentrate on what you can do that others cannot.
  6. Comparing your worst features with Someone’s best features.
  7. setting unrealistic standards of perfection.

.

Philosophy of Healthy Self-Image

The person with healthy self-image moves into management very well. He exhibits a cautious confidence that shows he is qualified and will do the job. He is short on promises but long on fulfilment. He understands the difference between the serving and being servile. He neither seeks nor avoids confrontations and meets decision making head-on. He understands he was promoted because management has confidence in his ability to either handle the job or to grow to the job. He knows where to draw the line between confidence and arrogance. More importantly he can be firm on principles but flexible on methods. He draws the line between being friends and being familiar. He doesn’t gets all scoop-up when makes a wrong decision because he knows in most cases, no decision is the worst decision. So right or wrong, he makes decisions. Then his self-image is such that, he can act decisively and yet doesn’t feel threatened when he is either mistaken, challenged, or has to ask for help in specific matters.

.

Steps to a healthy self image

  1. Take inventory. No one on the face of the earth can make you feel inferior without your permission. you are somebody because God doesn’t takes time to make a nobody , and once you learn how much you matter to god, you don’t have to go out and show the world how much you matter.
  2. Makeup, dress up- Go up! outward appearance does impact your image and performance.
  3. Listen to speakers who build up the mankind.
  4. Build healthy image a step a time. start with something you are confident you can handle. when you accomplish it, move to next.
  5. Join the smile and compliment club. spread optimism and cheer
  6. Do something for someone else.
  7. Be careful of your associates, deliberately associate with people of high caliber, who look on the bright side of life.
  8. Make list of your qualities and keep it handy.
  9. Make a victory list of your successes.
  10. Everything that goes in mind has an effect.
  11. Learn from successful failure– the difference between the big shot and small shot- the big shot is just a small shot who keeps on shooting.
  12. Look you and them in the eye.
  13. Alter your physical appearance

You will make a lousy somebody ese, but you are the best YOU in existence.

.

Step 2: Relationships

No compromise on truth or principles. the person who doesnt stand for anyting, falls for everything.

If you set the example, you won’t have to set the rules.

when you work for someone- work for them all the way. If you are in something, get all the way in and if you cant get all the way in- then get all the way out.

Regardless of who you are or what you do, if you are looking for the best way to reap the most rewards in all areas of life, you should look for the good in every person and in every situation.

you treat people exactly like you see them. A lot of people have gone further than they thought they could because someone else thought they could. the greatest good we can do for anyone is not to share our wealth with them, but rather to reveal their own wealth to them. people need loving the most when the deserve it the least. Different treatments brings on different results. If you take a man as he is , you make him worse than he was, but if you see him as being the best person possible, then he, in fact, becomes the best person possible.

OUR ACTIONS AND DEEDS AFFECT OTHER PEOPLE, MANY OF WHOM WE WILL NEVER KNOW.

Love will die through neglect just as will a flower, tree or bush.

PHYSICAL EXPERIENCES FEED MENTAL ACCEPTANCE.

Act enthusiastic and you will be enthusiastic. act like you are in love and te first thing u know, you are in love. True love is very beautiful and very private, away from TV/ media/ world.

Recipe for happiness

  • 1 cup- love
  • 2 cups- loyalty
  • 3 cups- forgiveness
  • 1 cup- friendship
  • 5 spoons- hope
  • 2 spoons- tenderness
  • 4 quarts- faith
  • 1 barrel- laughter

Take love and loyalty and mix it through with faith. Blend it with tenderness, kindness and understanding. Add friendship and hope. Sprinkle abundantly with laughter. Bake it with sunshine. Serve generous helpings daily.

.

.

Step 3: GOALS

You should never share your goals with anyone unless you know they not only believe you can reach those goals but they want you to reach them.

Its not the lack of time, its the lack of direction which is the problem. You go as far as you can see and when you get there, you will always be able to see more.

7 different goals:

  • physical
  • mental
  • family
  • social
  • financial
  • spirtual
  • career

.

You are obligated to earn more than you need because in doing so , you create job opportunities for those less talented than you.

.

Characteristics of goal

  1. Goals must be big: to create the excitement for accomplishment. theres no excitement in mediocrity. The way you see life will largely determine what you get out of it, make no small plans. you must see your life and occupation big before you can make it big.
  2. Long- range goals– everybody is not as interested in your goals as you are. If your goals are not large-range, then temporary obstacles can be needlessly frustrating.
  3. Goals must be daily– if you don’t have daily objectives, you qualify as a dreamer. The opportunity for greatness doesn’t come cascading down like a terrestrial Niagara falls, but rather it comes slowly, one drop at a time. These daily goas are where the dedication, disciple and determination enter the picture.
  4. Goals must be specific– a meaningful specific, not wandering generality. wiser to go high BUT reachable. commit to Paper- be brutally honest, track each and every minute of your life for the next 30 days. You can break the record by taking the best of your week and multiplying it with 50.. A goal casually set and lightly taken is freely abandoned on the 1st obstacle.

You don’t pay the price- you enjoy the price for success and you pay the price for failures!

Goal setting

  • Goal was mine.
  • My credibility was at stake.
  • It represented a strong commitment.
  • The goal was big.
  • The goal was specific.
  • It was long range.
  • It was broken into daily goals.
  • Had a plan.
  • Thorough physical examination.

.

ATTITUDE

when the outlook isnt good, try up-look, its always good.

Your attitude is more important than your aptitude.

.

THE OPTIMIST PHILOSOPHY

An optimist, is a person who when he wears his shoes just figures he’s back on his feet. The optimist takes action- the pessimist takes a seat.

ALMOST IS NO FUN

Theres no thrill in “almost” doing anything in the game of life. The thrill comes from the accomplishment, and many times the difference between accomplishment and failures is having the right mental attitude.

if your thinkin-stinkin- you are going to be the same, your business is going to be the same.

Enthusiasm is everything

a positive attitude will have positive results cuz attitudes are contagious..

Many extremely enthusiastic people are fairly quiet, yet every fiber of their being, every word and action, attest to the fact they love life and what it means to them. Some people who are enthusiastic are obviously loud but loudness is neither a prerequisite for, nor is it necessarily an indication of enthusiasm.

.

Who’s cat have you been kicking lately?

How do u react to humor?

How about a smile?

a compliment?

how do you respond to agreeable people? how do you reach people who are nice, courteous and pleasant towards you. How do you respond to a beautiful day? Anyone can respond favorably to good circumstances, how do you react to rudeness? sarcasm? rejection? rejection? an undeserved verbal blast? do you let other people bring you down?

How you respond to your negative kicking cat situations will largely determine your success and happiness in life.

YOU DESERVE THE BEST TREATMENT YOU CAN GIVE YOU.
