Is it possible to truly see the world,
Beneath the guise of progress, touted as life’s betterment?
Our very vision forcibly obscured
By modern spectacles—altered, prescribed, tainted!
“Advanced,” they proclaim—technologically, rationally, intellectually!
“Clearer sight,” they boast—focused, precise, keen!
Villains adorned as Heroes,
Bearers of peace—barbaric, merciless, soulless.
A fate endured by the oppressed and downtrodden alike!
Wickedness, dishonesty, immorality—celebrated as if divine!
The Word of God itself—reduced to rubble—a fool’s errand, they claim.
Thinkers once revered on the pedestal of human enlightenment,
Replaced by Capitalist Billionaires in the blink of an eye.
What is and what isn’t—a whirlwind of confusion swirling,
Who is and who isn’t—a labyrinth of human identity.
“Sharing is caring,” they preach,
Evil masked beneath the guise of goodness.
Chaos cloaked within the facade of apparent productivity.
We shackled clocks onto ourselves, yet time, in essence, slipped away.
Emotional intellect they proclaim—the manipulators, fabricators, perpetrators.
Entertainment revered, creativity rewarded—profanity, immorality abound.
“We aid those in need,” they claim—enslaving, dictating aid.
Perhaps it’s time to remove these lenses,
Return to reality—an agonizing abyss.
I’d rather face the flames, meet fire eye-to-eye,
Raw and unfiltered—without a lens,
Without modifications, justifications,
Manipulations and fabrications.
